The Russell Earnings Leaders Index Series applies a rules-based quality lens to small-cap equities, selecting companies based on measures of earnings, profitability, and related fundamental characteristics. By excluding persistently unprofitable firms, the indexes are designed to provide more focused exposure to profitable small-cap companies. The index series is market cap weighted with capping applied to balance representativeness and diversification requirements.
