The LSEG Board is collectively responsible for the long-term sustainable success of the Group, the delivery of sustainable value to its shareholders and contributing to wider society. The Board’s role is to provide leadership of LSEG within a framework of prudent and effective controls which enables risk to be assessed and managed.
The Board oversees the Group’s corporate governance, and this is explained fully in the annual report which is available here. The Board has delegated certain responsibilities to four Board committees; the Audit, Nomination, Remuneration and Risk Committees. Full details of their responsibilities can be found below.
The Board is composed of the Chair, two executive directors, seven independent non-executive directors and three non-executive directors. There is clear division of responsibilities between the Chair and the Chief Executive Officer. Further information can be found below.
