The FTSE ADX Index Series is designed to represent the performance of companies listed on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), providing investors with a comprehensive and complementary set of indices that measure the performance of the major capital and industry segments of the Abu Dhabi stock market.
The FTSE ADX Index Series consists of the FTSE ADX General Index; 10 industry-specific indices that include Telecommunications, Healthcare, Financials, Real Estate, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Industrials, Utilities, Basic Materials and Energy; the FTSE ADX 15 Index (FADX 15) – representing the top 15 eligible companies listed on ADX; and the FTSE ADX Growth Market Index, which tracks the performance of the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange’s Growth Market Segment. The eligible securities use free float adjusted market capitalisation.
The FTSE ADX ESG Screened Index, based on the FTSE ADX General Index, is designed to select securities based on a combination of median daily trading value and a specific ESG score. Companies are screened out of the index if they have an ESG score below the average ESG score for the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
