Overview
The EU ESG Ratings Regulation establishes a regulatory framework for providers of ESG ratings in the European Union, with the objective of enhancing transparency, consistency and integrity in the ESG ratings market.
As a provider of ESG Scores, LSEG is required to comply with the regulation’s requirements, which include publishing public disclosures covering its methodologies, governance arrangements, conflicts of interest, engagement practices and complaint handling processes. These disclosures enable users, rated entities and other stakeholders to understand how in-scope ESG scores are produced, governed and maintained in line with the regulation.
