Description of the dataset

  • LSEG curates standardized legal and regulatory identifiers that help clients uniquely recognize corporate counterparties and legal entities. We cover identifiers including LEIs, national company registration numbers, SWIFT BICs, CUSIP6 values, DUNS numbers and other regulator-issued codes.
  • Our identifier records include the identifier value, issuing authority, jurisdiction, status, effective dates and end dates where applicable. We link identifiers to official source registries when available to support transparency and auditability.
  • We consolidate cross-reference mappings so clients can connect multiple identifiers associated with the same legal entity. LSEG combines these mappings with legal name, legal form, incorporation country, registration country, headquarters country and domicile attributes to strengthen entity resolution and compliance workflows.
