Description of the dataset

  1. Drawing from national statistical agencies and in-country sources, LSEG provides economic time series for timely monitoring of country-level developments. Our National Sources coverage supports analysis of 164 nations, including market-moving indicators and country profiles where available.
  2. We deliver macroeconomic measures across national accounts, financial accounts, external accounts, industrial activity and labour markets. LSEG also supports more granular economic research through selected housing, energy, automotive, industry and sub-national indicators.
  3. Our National Sources dataset helps customers monitor domestic economic releases, compare country fundamentals and assess policy-sensitive market drivers. We support workflows for economists, portfolio managers, strategists and risk professionals who require timely, source-aligned economic intelligence.
  4. LSEG organises the content using reusable internal identifiers, PermID-related fields and a data dictionary summary of 183 rows. We standardise and validate national-source economic series so customers can use them confidently across forecasting, screening, reporting and enterprise data environments.
