The FTSE Italia Series provides investors with a comprehensive and complementary set of market-cap weighted indices measuring the performance of Italian companies listed on the MTA and MIV markets of Borsa Italia.
Launched in 2009, the FTSE MIB Index is the primary benchmark index for the Italian equity market and represents the large cap component of the FTSE Italia All-Share Index. Capturing approximately 80% of the domestic market capitalisation, the FTSE MIB Index measures the performance of the 40 most liquid and capitalised Italian shares and seeks to replicate the broad sector weights of the Italian stock market.
The FTSE MIB ESG Risk-Adjusted Index, based on the FTSE MIB Index, is designed to reflect the performance of Italian companies whilst improving broad ESG characteristics and maintaining similar risk/return characteristics to the underlying universe.
The indices are designed for use as performance benchmarks and are suitable for the creation of structured products, index-tracking funds, exchange-traded funds and derivatives.
