LSEG deepens partnership with Databricks, integrating Quantitative Analytics Database via Delta Sharing

Share

Summary

LSEG has expanded its partnership with Databricks, making over 50 datasets from its Quantitative Analytics Database available via Delta Sharing.

This enables clients to access and work with LSEG’s trusted financial and economic data directly in their Databricks environments, reducing the need for data movement and simplifying integration into existing workflows. Integrated with Unity Catalog, the offering also supports centralised governance, allowing organisations to manage access, track data lineage, and audit usage across teams and environments.

Seamless access to LSEG data within Databricks environments

Delivered through secure, entitlement-controlled access across cloud environments, the integration simplifies how clients access and use LSEG’s Quantitative Analytics data. Datasets are made available for direct access within Databricks, allowing users to query and analyse data at source, build models, and uncover signals within a single environment, without the need to move data or rely on external ingestion pipelines.

Comprehensive, analytics-ready data coverage

LSEG’s Quantitative Analytics Database provides a broad range of structured, ready-to-use datasets, including:

  • Company fundamentals and estimates – including IBES and Worldscope
  • Deals, events and corporate actions
  • Market and pricing data – including Datastream equity and index pricing, commodities, economics and futures
  • Fixed income & credit
  • Security master & symbology
  • Ownership, ESG & alternative data – including climate data and MarketPsych indices
  • Risk, quant, and analytics data – including StarMine, MSCI, and Axioma
  • Indexes & benchmark data – including S&P, FTSE, NDX and DJX

This combination of datasets supports a range of workflows, including valuation analysis, portfolio construction, model development and testing, and the application of machine learning techniques across large-scale data.

Supporting enterprise-scale workflows

Within Databricks, clients can leverage scalable compute to work with large datasets and support model development and testing across teams and environments. By enabling consistent access to shared datasets, the integration also supports collaboration and data discovery across organisations.

This expansion builds on LSEG’s growing data footprint within the Databricks ecosystem, alongside Lipper Fund Data & Analytics and Cross Asset Analytics. Additional datasets, including Tick History and Pricing & Reference data, are planned to follow.
