Programme overview
Our Engineering/Tech Programme will enable you to launch your career in Engineering by contributing to live projects, collaborating with and being mentored by best-in-class talent as you acquire critical skills through on-the-job experiences. You’ll have a meaningful role in harnessing new, exciting technologies, and work on projects aimed at integrating them into our frontline products and operations.
Skills you'll learn
We offer hands-on experience of working with innovative technologies that are shaping today’s and tomorrow’s financial markets. You’ll explore all aspects of the software development lifecycle – from requirements analysis through to coding, testing and deployment, with a focus on driving engineering excellence. It all starts with a four-day induction to familiarise yourself with the business, followed by a four-day engineering bootcamp to build your technical foundations, before gaining valuable on-the-job insights and working towards a professional qualification in areas such as Cloud, DevOps, QA & Automation, Data, Cybersecurity, and other emerging engineering pathways.
You'll also have access to curated e-learning skills pathways, designed to help you become a well-rounded Engineer.
What you'll do
You’ll be aligned to an Engineering team at the end of the recruitment process, based on your strengths and fit with the role requirements. Whatever your role, you’ll work in partnership with the Group’s businesses, providing you with a commercial perspective that will help you as you progress within our organisation. You'll also take part in an 8-week group project to solve a real business challenge, working alongside fellow global graduates.

Programme overview
Our Business Graduate Programme will allow you to gain valuable experience within one of our Divisions (Capital Markets, Post Trade, FTSE Russell and Data & Analytics) or, alternatively, work across one of our Group functions (People, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Finance, Strategy or Risk). You can follow one of two programme pathways.
On the Commercial pathway, you’ll develop your understanding of our markets, clients and commercial strategy. In divisional roles, you may be involved in helping companies to raise capital, developing benchmark ranges and indices, or contributing to initiatives that support our clients and business growth. In Group functions, you’ll work in a central function to support company goals and strategic priorities.
Alternatively, on the Business Analyst pathway, you’ll take a more analytical approach, with opportunities to work on coding, data analysis and solving complex business challenges. You may be involved in activities such as building and evaluating risk models, working with data sets, and developing insights to inform decision-making across the business.
What you'll do
We'll align you to a division at the end of the recruitment process, based on the strengths you demonstrate and the requirements of the role. Regardless of the role, you’ll build your financial markets understanding as well as technical understanding of key products. You'll also take part in an 8-week group project to solve a real business challenge, working alongside fellow global graduates.
