UnaVista wins the OTC infrastructure service of the year award at Risk Awards 2020
UnaVista was delighted to win the OTC infrastructure service of the year award at Risk Awards 2020 on Tuesday 26 November. A number of UnaVista's team were on hand to collect the award at the ceremony in London.
The award was won in tough competition and picking the winner was extremely difficult. Risk.net asked candidates to submit detailed information on their businesses and references from clients, and shortlisted firms were interviewed off the record. Risk.net then gathered feedback from clients and other market participants. The final decisions were made by Risk.net’s editors and journalists, weighing a number of factors, including risk management, creativity and innovation, liquidity provision, quality of service and customer satisfaction, and engagement with regulatory issues. Where decisions were tight, client feedback helped settle the issue.
Risk Magazine has named UnaVista as the OTC infrastructure service of the year at its annual awards ceremony. Noting the reason behind the win to LSEG’s reporting and reconciliation platform, they highlight that UnaVista ‘benefits from having state-of-the-art market surveillance software from its exchange arm, combined with the brainpower to make sense of it’. They also highlight that ‘UnaVista is in a position to try and transform a compliance exercise into something that provides value to clients’ processing more than ‘200 million data records representing 50 million business transactions for 50,000 users across 86 countries’. Commenting on the win, Mark Husler, CEO of UnaVista, notes that due to the quantum of data that the platform holds it gives UnaVista “an opportunity to work with customers to innovate new services that add value” in areas such as best execution and to provide insights into compliance and surveillance.
