Ferrari lists on Borsa Italiana’s main market.
Borsa Italiana welcomed in the New Year with a parade of Ferrari cars in front of Palazzo Mezzanotte to celebrate the listing of Ferarri on the stock exchange’s main market.
Raffaele Jerusalmi welcomed the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, Ferrari’s Chairman and Fiat-Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne and a crowd of shareholders and supporters of Ferrari.
“We are excited and proud to welcome today Ferrari in Borsa Italiana”, Raffi said. “Ferrari is a true icon of Made in Italy and one of the best known luxury brands globally. The choice of Ferrari to list in Milan confirms the central role of Borsa Italiana, increasingly recognised internationally as a point of reference for the Made in Italy and luxury brands.”
During the Market Open ceremony, the Italian Prime Minister said he hoped that many companies will follow Ferrari’s example, listing on Borsa Italiana whose “FTSE MIB performed an extraordinary 12.7% in 2015”.
Ferrari is included in the FTSE MIB as of 4th January 2016.
The listing of Ferrari follows a number of luxury brands joining the Italian market in recent years, ranging from Moncler to Ferragamo.
