Millennium Information Technologies Appoints New CEO

  • Mack Gill, SunGard SVP Corporate Development & Strategy appointed as new CEO
  • MillenniumIT founder and current CEO Tony Weeresinghe, Director of LSEG Global Development, appointed MillenniumIT Non-Executive Chairman

Millennium Information Technologies (‘MillenniumIT’), part of diversified international exchange business, London Stock Exchange Group (‘LSEG’), is today delighted to announce the appointment of John Mackay ‘Mack’ Gill, as its new CEO. 

Mack joins MillenniumIT from global technology group, SunGard Data Systems Inc., where he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy. Prior to this, Mack held a number of senior roles at SunGard, including President of SunGard Global Technology and President of SunGard Global Services. Mack holds an MA in International Relations from Yale University and a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. He is also Treasurer and a Board Director of the International Association of Financial Engineers (IAFE).

As MillenniumIT CEO, Mack will be responsible for all aspects of MillenniumIT, including strategy. He will be a member of the LSEG global Leadership Team and will report directly to Antoine Shagoury, LSEG COO & CIO. He will also work closely with Tony Weeresinghe, Non-Executive Chairman, supporting his Global Business Development role. Mack will be based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
