UnaVista is partnering with Grant Thornton at this event to help firms who already have an existing connection for their MiFID reporting comply with MAR through the same interface.
Grant Thornton will be providing a regulatory update on MAR, while UnaVista and LSEG will demonstrate how their new MAR solution can help client using their firms MiFID data to show them all of the alerts and dashboards they need for compliance.

Rebecca Dean, Grant Thornton
Technical Lead, MiFID/MAR/MAD
Based in London, Rebecca joined Grant Thornton from the industry where she has been supporting MiFID II compliance efforts.
Rebecca has specialized in regulatory issues in trading environments having held roles, including CF10 Head of Compliance, in industry with a leading algorithmic proprietary trader. She has also worked in the front office compliance and control teams of two international investment banks where her remit covered a range of instruments and geographies.
Rebecca has also worked in the market surveillance team of the London Stock Exchange.

Liam Smith
Head of Market Supervision and Surveillance, London Stock Exchange Group
Liam Smith is Head of Market Supervision LSE plc; encompassing real-time and post trade coverage of the London Stock Exchange plc, Turquoise MTF (Integrated Lit Book, Dark Midpoint Book, Block Discovery) and Curve Global Derivatives market. Former proprietary trader and FCA investigator; joined LSEG from Exane BNP Paribas in mid 2015. Worked in regulatory and execution strategy, equities advisory (execution, ECM, research), trade surveillance and equities market structure. Liam previously worked at the FSA/FCA as part of Markets Division, principally on the largest insider dealing ring case prosecuted by the FCA, including giving evidence on trading concepts as a market professional during the subsequent criminal trial. Before joining the FCA begun career as an execution dealer (equities, fixed income, derivatives) before moving into proprietary trading and liquidity provision. Specialised in equities and index futures for Van Der Moolen LLP and Argo Traders LLP, finishing as a Senior Trader and Risk Manager.
Steven Holland
Product Manager, UnaVista, London Stock Exchange Group
Steven is a Product Manager working in LSEG’s UnaVista post-trade regulatory services, including MiFIR ARM and EMIR TR. Steven's responsibilities include product development of UnaVista’s solutions and keeping LSEG post-trade offerings at the forefront of regulatory, market and technology developments. Prior to joining LSEG, Steven spent 9 years at IHS Markit working in their Global Alliance Program, and prior to that their Credit Index Product Team.
Lorne Chambers
Global Head of Sales, MillenniumIT, London Stock Exchange Group
Lorne Chambers is the head of sales for MillenniumIT, LSEG’s technology company which provides trading, surveillance, clearing, settlement, and depository solutions to market infrastructures world-wide. Lorne spent the first 12 years of his professional career with Smarts where he developed surveillance solutions for leading exchanges and regulators globally. He was involved with the early expansion of Smarts Broker and developed the surveillance algorithms for the products first steps out of Australia into Asian and European markets. Lorne was responsible for the functional roadmap of Smarts Integrity and in his final 5 years, sales and account management.
