Trading Technologies International opens trading

Wednesday 30 April 2014

London Stock Exchange Group today welcomed Rick Lane, CEO of Trading Technologies International, Inc., (TT), to open trading on its London markets. Chicago-based TT is a global provider of high-performance professional trading software and connectivity solutions with offices in 12 cities, including London.

The ceremony commemorated the imminent release of TT’s connection to the London Stock Exchange Group's Derivatives Markets, including Borsa Italiana’s IDEM and London Stock Exchange Derivatives Market. The new link will make it possible for TT’s global client base to access and trade the products listed on IDEM and LSEG Derivatives Market through TT’s software, including its flagship X_TRADER® platform. TT also will provide connectivity to the LSE Derivatives Markets through Nextrader, a browser-based, high-performance trading platform that is expected to become available near the end of 2014.

"It was a distinct honor to preside over today’s ceremonies," said Lane. "We are very much looking forward to bringing LSE’s vibrant derivatives markets to our clients through our trading platform."

Today’s ceremony took place as TT prepares to celebrate its 20-year anniversary on 16 May. TT pioneered electronic derivatives trading when it was founded in 1994 with one product and one exchange connection. Now on any given day, thousands of traders in more than 40 countries use TT's software to access dozens of global derivatives markets on five continents. The company serves a wide variety of users including many London-based proprietary traders, brokers, money managers, CTAs, hedge funds, and commercial hedgers and risk managers.
