London Stock Exchange welcomes representatives from State Street Global Advisors SPDR® ETFs
London Stock Exchange today welcomes representatives from State Street Global Advisors’ (SSGA) SPDR® ETFs team to open trading in London.
SPDR ETFs had a number of exciting developments over 2014. They reached a milestone of $10 billion in asset under management in Europe earlier in the year and more recently announced a range of enhancements to their product platform. This included reducing fees across 15 core equity and fixed income ETFs, consolidating all funds onto a single UCITS platform and moving 13 funds onto a single, centralised settlement structure that will issue and settle via an international central securities depository (ICSD) through Euroclear Bank. As well as being listed on multiple European exchanges, SPDR ETFs will list 12 on the London Stock Exchange as of 9th December 2014.
Offered by State Street Global Advisors, SPDR ETFs provide professional investors with the flexibility to select investments that are precisely aligned to their investment strategy. Recognised as an industry pioneer, State Street Global Advisors created the first ETF in 1993 and since then each new member of the SPDR ETFs family has been built to reflect their intimate knowledge of the ETF market and over 30 years of indexing experience. Today, SSGA manages nearly $415bn in over 220 ETFs worldwide.1
