London Stock Exchange welcomes GinsGlobal and HANetf celebrating the launch of ITEK and SKYY

London Stock Exchange today welcomed GinsGlobal Index Funds and HANetf to the main market of the London Stock Exchange following the launch of their first ETFs: ITEK (HAN-GINS Global Innovative Technology UCITS ETF) and SKYY (HAN-GINS Cloud Technology UCITS ETF). The funds target companies from developed and emerging markets that are driving the "fourth industrial revolution", including those involved in Robotics, Cloud Computing, Genomics, Blockchain, Future Cars, Social Media, Virtual Reality and Big Data.

The launches represent an important milestone in the history of European ETFs as the first ever ETF launches from a traditional asset manager through a white-label ETF platform. The launches signify that the previously high barriers to European ETF market entry have been effectively dismantled, opening the way for traditional asset managers with little to no ETF experience to extend the distribution reach of their IP through ETFs.

To celebrate the listing, Anthony Ginsberg, Founder and Managing Director of GinsGlobal Index Funds was joined by Hector McNeil and Nik Bienkowski, co-CEOs of HANetf to be welcomed by Ivan Gilmore, Head of Exchange Traded Products and Global Product Development, London Stock Exchange.

Anthony Ginsberg said:
"We’re delighted to be partnering with the HANetf team on our first European ETF offerings. We believe HANetf’s Irish platform is an attractive proposition for many global investors as they have made our transition from mutual funds to ETFs as smooth as possible. Our new ETFs enable investors to gain exposure to many of the most important and transformative industrial and technological themes of our age and we are pleased to list them in London – one of the most important ETF markets in the world."

Hector McNeil, co-CEO of HANetf said:
"Many traditional asset managers are seeking to understand how they and their clients can benefit from the rapid growth of ETFs in Europe. We believe that leveraging the disruptive distribution potential of ETFs is a smart way for traditional managers to future-proof their business, but developing an in-house offering is extremely expensive and time consuming, and out of reach for all but the largest asset managers. With GinsGlobal, we have demonstrated that the HANetf white-label platform is an effective and cost effective solution for traditional asset managers who have fantastic investment ideas and want to bring them to European investors in ETF format without the cost, complexity and risk of building their own offering."
