London Stock Exchange welcomes B&M European Value Retail S.A. to the Main Market
London Stock Exchange today welcomes B&M European Value Retail S.A. ("B&M"), the general merchandise discount retailer, to the premium listing segment of the Official List on the Main Market.
B&M is a fast-growing retailer, selling leading FMCG brands and a broad choice of non-grocery products and operating from over 370 high street and out of town stores across the UK, as well as under the JAWoll brand in Germany.
As a listed Company, B&M intends to continue with its clear strategy for future growth, building on a consistent track record of like-for-like sales and EBITDA growth in existing stores, while continuing its ambitious plans for future expansion across the UK and in continental Europe.
B&M completed an average of 2.7 million customer transactions per week for the year ended 29 March 2014 and yet the potential for future growth is significant – an estimated 66% of the UK population does not currently have easy access to a B&M store.
Simon Arora, Chief Executive of B&M, said:
"Today is an important day for B&M and we are delighted that investors have demonstrated their support for our growth story and that they share our excitement about the Group’s future. We believe that becoming a public company gives us the right long-term ownership model, allowing us to build on our strong track record as we move to the next stage of our development."
