Global Money Week celebrated by London Stock Exchange

This morning London Stock Exchange welcomed pupils from schools accross London to open trading to mark Global Money Week. Founder of Global Money Week, Jeroo Billimoria was joined by pupils from Our Lady's Primary School near Limehouse and St Paul's & Al Hallow's School near Tottenham. Also attending the ceremony were MyBnk and pupils from Westminster Academy, who have been holding a number of events up and down the country this week with pupils aged 11-25, in over 40 secondary schools and youth groups.
Global Money Week is a global financial education and inclusion celebration held during the 2nd week of March each year. The 2013 edition involved 1 million children & youth and their families, 403 organisations, and 81 countries in money awareness activities. Child and Youth Finance International serves as a platform to align and support GMW activities all over the world in coordination with national financial inclusion platform committees in every country.
