TLA Women in Tech is an active network of women and men working within London’s Tech industries founded by Sarah Luxford and Nikki Watkins. As London's movement for gender equality in the global tech industry, the group believes that gender balance improves commercial performance and that being a leader of tomorrow requires the courage to act differently today.
Today the group has over 1,200 Advocates (Male 30% and Female 70%) who come from corporates, tech startups, government and digital consultancies. Their mantra is Awareness (get clear on the facts), Adoption (adopt actions & processes) and Advocacy (inspire others/pay it forward).
Founders Sarah Luxford & Nikki Watkins commented “As part of the beginning of London Technology week 2016 we will be hosting a number of exciting events and are on a mission to change the world. Speakers and panellists will be helping us to celebrate, and raise awareness of, the important role diversity plays in our thriving tech ecosystem in London, whilst challenging ingrained prejudices that are restricting greater progress. We are delighted to start the mission this week at the London Stock Exchange”
