London Stock Exchange lists SPDR ETFs' distributing share class of FTSE All Share exchange traded fund (Monday 30th April 2018)

London Stock Exchange today welcomes the listing of SPDR FTSE UK All Share UCITS ETF (Dist.): a distributing share class of the largest FTSE All Share ETF in Europe.

Launched in response to client demand, the ETF is now available as both an ‘accumulating’ share class (i.e. dividends are re-invested) and a ‘distributing’ share class (i.e. dividends are paid to investors). The FTSE All Share index provides access to 98% of the UK’s investable market and contains more than 630 constituents. The index provides greater diversification than the FTSE 100 – both in terms of the respective size of the top ten holdings, as well as a broader overall number of constituents - and has also provided greater risk-adjusted returns than the FTSE100 over the last 1,3,5,10 and 15 year periods*. The underlying index was launched more than 55 years ago, and has a greater exposure to UK-focused companies than the FTSE100.

Claire Perryman, Head of SPDR ETFs – UK, said: “This marks another important step in optimising SPDRs’ UCITS range of ETFs for our clients. This share class was specifically launched in response to client demand, and is part of our ongoing dialogue with investors to provide them with funds that are closely aligned with their investment strategies”.
