London Stock Exchange welcomes Harlequins

Harlequins is one of the oldest and most famous rugby clubs in the world. Founded in 1866 as Hampstead Football Club, and renamed in 1870, the Club has established itself as one of the greats and is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary year.

Throughout the Club’s vibrant history, it has been an innovator for the game’s development in this country and around the world. It is one of the founding members of the RFU and has provided 14 Presidents to the Rugby Football Union.

The club’s influence extends beyond this country via a network of affiliate clubs around the world. They include Harlequins clubs in Pretoria, Kenya, Melbourne, Dallas and Abu Dhabi.

As a club, it is famous for its quartered shirt and exciting and expansive style of play which has led to significant success both on and off the field in recent years.

Competing in the Aviva Premiership, the top tier of English rugby, Harlequins presently boasts a wealth of current international globally recognised players including Chris Robshaw, Mike Brown, Jamie Roberts, Adam Jones and Danny Care among many others.
