London Stock Exchange welcomes Founders4Schools and London & Partners
London Stock Exchange welcomes Founders4Schools and London & Partners in association with EY, to mark International Women’s Day 2018 in a special Market Opening ceremony. Female CEOs from growing companies, who volunteer their time in schools in their communities, were joined by the Deputy Mayor of London for Business, Rajesh Agrawal and pupils from local schools - Mulberry School and Clapton Girls.

In a Founders4Schools report, supported by Mortimer Spinks, published ahead of Thursday’s International Women’s Day, the role women play in building robust, dynamic and scalable businesses across a wide range of sectors is highlighted. The new analysis - based on open-government, DueDil and LinkedIn data-sets - reveals how companies led by women grow, perform and rank - identifying the fastest-growing and most dynamic women-led businesses across the UK. The findings indicate that women are critical in driving economic growth across the UK, with 1,283 growing women-led companies contributing a total of £26.1 billion in revenue to the UK economy. Turnover of women-led companies has increased, on average, by £1 million pounds in the past year.
