london stock exchange welcomes 100 women in finance and the royal foundation
This morning, 100 Women in Finance (100WF) and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened trading at London Stock Exchange to celebrate 100WF’s partnership with The Royal Foundation in 2018. The Royal Foundation’s mental health initiatives for children, one of which, 'The Mentally Healthy Schools website' recently launched by The Duchess of Cambridge, are the beneficiary of 100WF’s 2018 UK philanthropic efforts. Mentally Healthy Schools is an online resource designed and curated by experts specifically for teachers and educators to support the mental health of young children in schools across the UK.
100WF is a global, practitioner-driven non-profit organisation that serves more than 15,000 professionals in the finance and alternative investment industries and has a strong track record of supporting charities. 100WF has raised more than US$44 million (gross) for philanthropic causes in the areas of women’s and family health, education, and mentoring. 100WF in the UK aligns its yearly objectives to 100WF’s global theme, which rotates on an annual basis to ensure the greatest impact for local communities. For 2018, the theme is Education.
The market was opened by Effie Datson, Senior Managing Director, Head of Hedge Funds at Union Bancaire Privee and a member of 100WF’s London board, and the event was attended by 100WF members and guests. Following the market open guests heard from Aida Cable, Head of Young People’s Programmes at The Royal Foundation who spoke about The Royal Foundation and raising generations of mentally healthy children and Melissa Loosemoore, Headteacher, Roe Green Junior School who explained how schools benefit from the work of The Royal Foundation in this space.
