London Stock Exchange Group welcomes Nusrat Ghani MP and Wealden local businesses

Nus Ghani is the Conservative MP for Wealden in East Sussex. As an MP, Nus regularly works closely with local businesses, helping to create a business friendly environment which allows the SMEs that make up the backbone of the local economy to grow and prosper.

Politicians have an important role to play in supporting local businesses, not only through business-friendly policy such as the reduction in corporation tax but also by providing a close link between business and Government.

Nus has been working with London Stock Exchange to organise an opportunity for local businesses in Wealden to open the Stock Exchange and learn about the support available to help our local businesses grow.

Nus has reached out to members of the Chambers of Commerce across Wealden, including in Hailsham, Mayfield, Crowborough and Uckfield, to share the expertise and experience of the Stock Exchange with Wealden businesses.

As the first MP to invite constituent businesses to the stock exchange, Nus is demonstrating how MPs can work with their local companies to help share best practice for growth and prosperity.

Commenting on the visit to the LSE, Nus Ghani said:
"As an MP I have an important role to play in facilitating support for local businesses. I am delighted to have worked with London Stock Exchange to reach out to businesses across Wealden, inviting them to share in the expertise and experience of the LSE’s long track record of supporting local businesses."
