London Stock Exchange Group welcomes Northcoders, Chamber Business Awards business of the year winner

Northcoders is opening London Stock Exchange markets as winner of Business of the Year at the Chamber Business Awards 2018. Now in its 16th year, the Awards are one of the showpiece events in the business calendar, highlighting the role of business in delivering growth and prosperity for the UK and local communities.

Northcoders, members of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, is a training establishment for adults, teaching them to code and then placing them in permanent jobs as software developers. Their vision is to fill the shortage of talent in the technology sector with a diverse, well-trained pool of graduates. They were crowned winners after impressing the judges with their efforts to address the skills gap in coding and encouraging pupils from all walks of life to start careers in an emerging market. Their relationship with business is impressive, ensuring high quality training is given to match employers’ needs.
