London Stock Exchange Group welcomes Graham Stuart MP and AERL

The Association of Economic Representatives in London (AERL) is the network of choice for diplomats and officials of Embassies and High Commissions in London with direct responsibility for economic, commercial and financial affairs. The AERL is proud to provide London's diplomatic community with a valued platform for dialogue between high-level representatives of industry, policy-makers, academia and government. The AERL's programme is extensive, reflecting both the vast diversity of its global membership's interests and the best of what London's most dynamic environment has to offer. Emphasising the essential "human dimension" in diplomacy, the Association offers prime networking opportunities.

Alexander Renggli, Chairman of the AERL and Head of the Economic, Trade, Finance, Science & Innovation Section at the Embassy of Switzerland said:
"We are delighted to have been invited to today's Market Opening Ceremony at London Stock Exchange. Bringing together more than 250 diplomats and officials dealing with economic, trade, finance, science, innovation and business promotion, the AERL aims to build bridges and open doors to the most important actors of the UK economy. The LSE is a highly valued partner of global businesses and today's ceremony offers the best possible platform to launch the AERL's programme of events for 2018."

Aytuğ Göksu, Board Member of the AERL and Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in London said:
"The high turnout from Embassies and High Commissions in London today clearly proves the keen interest international stakeholders have in London Stock Exchange. We are extremely pleased that colleagues from different countries with different market structures have the opportunity to learn more about the LSE Group's instruments. We are all looking forward to further fostering cooperation with the LSE."
