London Stock Exchange's kitchen is operated by ‘boutique’ caterer Vacherin and led by General Manager Ankit Puri, Executive Head Chef Nick Jarvis, Head Chef Ben Mable and Sous Chef Stuart Smith.
With exceptionally high standards, they cook for our clients on a daily basis and offer everything from exquisite fine dining to bespoke buffet lunches and VIP breakfasts.
Our chefs create seasonal menus with a variety of options but can work with you to create a bespoke menu tailor-made for your event.
Nick Jarvis, Executive Head Chef:
Nick started his career at the age of 16 as a chef in a 5 star hotel in Bristol. Since then he worked in Michelin Star establishments and various other contracts within the London market. His career spans over 22 years and he has been working for Vacherin since 2015. He also spent a few years working in Australia at Tetsuya – a restaurant that has won many awards. He is classically trained and has developed his cooking style by always being up to date with current food trends. Nick’s can-do attitude and exceptional passion for food has won him many awards, including ‘Employee of the Year’ at Vacherin. Nick enjoys spending time with his family when he is not working.
Ben Mable, Head Chef:
Ben’s been a professional chef for over 20 years; started working in hotels back in Norfolk, then coming back to London to work in events and contract catering. He has worked with Vacherin for 4 years as Head Chef at Dechert LLP and joined LSEG in November 2018. Ben started cooking at an early age working with his mum making traditional Filipino cakes at home, Ben loves exploring London’s food scene to keep up to date to trends to bring to Foundation Café.
Stuart Smith, Sous Chef:
Stuart started his cooking career in Devon and has been working in the industry for over 18 years. He joined London Stock Exchange end 2018. Out of the many few of his experiences include working at Gidleigh Park Hotel, a luxury County House Hotel for almost 3 years and The Five Bells Inn in Devon. Stuart moved to London 4 years ago and has worked with JLT, an International Insurance firm in the City.
Stuart is always looking for inspiration and is constantly seeking ideas from the culinary world, which further feeds his love of cooking.
Ankit Puri, General Manager
Ankit started with LSEG in September 2017 and has 17 years of experience within the hospitality industry. His first job at the age of 18 was with London Park Lane Four Season Hotel a Leading 5* hotel in London. After spending many years in the 5* hotel market Ankit decided to make a move into the world of Corporate catering. Ankit has won many awards and has an in-depth knowledge on food & wines. At LSEG he oversees the entire food & beverage offer within Hospitality and events. In his free time Ankit likes to play cricket followed by a nice gin and tonic.
