The London Stock Exchange is delighted to invite company representatives to participate in the first Metals & BRICs Conference & Investor One-to-Ones to be held at the London Stock Exchange on 5 July 2012.
From 2000 - 2011, companies conducted $70 billion in mining fundraisings on the London Stock Exchange. Our markets, with an overall mining sector capitalization of over $600 billion, are home to some of the largest emerging markets metals and mining companies. Companies from Russia, India, Africa and Kazakhstan have listed their shares and GDRs on AIM and the Main Market. Several of these are represented in the FTSE UK indices.
These companies have to a large extent benefited from Chinese demand which has been recognized as the main driver of the commodity boom of the past seven years. In this investor conference, industry experts, including speakers from China International Capital Corporation (CICC) will discuss key development trends in global commodity markets and explore the interrelationship between the BRIC and other emerging market countries.
Mining investors can access through the London Stock Exchange a broad range of geographies and subsectors, be it African iron ore, Chinese rare earth metals, or Russian gold. We see a strong interest in getting one-stop access to as many of these opportunities as possible and, therefore hope that you will join your peers at the Metals & BRICs Investor Day designed for metals and mining companies from leading emerging markets.
