London Stock Exchange and ETF Strategy have teamed up to host an event designed to be a one-stop shop for active investment management firms, of all sizes and stripes, to learn about how they can potentially enter the fast-growing ETF space and to meet the industry's foremost authorities who can help get them there.
In essence, the conference assembles a cast of expert partners who can guide prospective new active ETF issuers through the ETF launch process and life-cycle (and over all the hurdles), from conception through to listing, cross-listing and beyond.
The event, which will take place at London Stock Exchange on the morning of Thursday 20th November 2014, with optional breakout sessions after lunch, is aimed at executives from both traditional and alternative investment management firms, with particular emphasis on decision-makers in product engineering and product development, marketing and distribution, operations and product control, legal and compliance.
Delegates will come from firms across the AUM spectrum, from niche boutiques to bulge-bracket global investment houses.
The event is free to attend and will be composed of a series of presentations, panel sessions and networking breaks. The formal agenda will be announced shortly, but will cover topics including:
- Introduction to actively managed ETFs
- Product design: Transparent vs Non-transparent
- Issuance, exchanges and cross-listings
- Security structures, clearing and settlement
- Trading and liquidity: The role of authorised participants and market makers
- Back office, custody and administration
- Legal and compliance
- Partnership opportunities and white-label platforms
- Industry outlook and projections
Confirmed participants include:
- Brown Brothers Harriman
- Dillon Eustace
