"The LSEG Graduate Programme is very structured, with opportunities to learn from and network with people from different divisions across the Group. It is what you make of it and my goal has been to gain as much exposure as possible.
"My first rotation was in the COO team in our Information Services Division. It was the first time this team had taken on a grad and I was reporting directly to the COO. It sounded a bit intimidating at first, but they were so supportive, providing me with ongoing mentoring and helping me gain access to so many different teams and projects.
"From early on I’ve been given a lot of responsibility. For my first project I worked on a review of the governance structure at the time and we developed an alternative structure proposal to align with our new organisational design and model. This was ultimately used by the COO as the foundation for his proposal to the Information Services management team.
"My first rotation gave me a high-level overview of LSEG and how the different divisions fit together within the Group. My second rotation, with the US Asset Management Index Sales team, has allowed me to take a deeper dive into one of our businesses. It’s a client-facing role, so I now understand our client base and the dynamics of each deal a lot better as a result. I’ve learned more about our index business and commercials too.
"Being able to work across different projects with different teams through the Graduate Programme has really helped me understand where I can best fit in and thrive in the long term. Since LSEG is such a big Group there’s always something new to learn, but at the same time it’s an environment in which everyone is incredibly invested and we all share the same vision."
