The LSEG Foundation is currently supporting two partner charities in the UK for 2018:
UNICEF ensures that more of the world's children are fed, vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. It has also done more to influence laws, policies and customs to help protect children around the world. Visit UNICEF website for more information.
School-Home Support (SHS)
School-Home Support (SHS) gets children back into school and ready to learn. Working with schools, local authorities and other children's settings, SHS provide personalised support to children and families, tackling the underlying barriers to a successful education to improve the life chances of children.
The Harlequins Foundation delivers a range of programmes and partnerships that use rugby and the Harlequins spirit to inspire, educate and equip disadvantaged young people. Visit Harlequins Foundation website for more information.
Working together to build a brighter future for the next generation…
Our new mental health campaign will aim to: raise awareness and challenge stigma around mental health; build the mental resilience of young people; equip our coaches to deal with mental health and well-being; and support the wellness of our staff and players. Our innovative new schools programme, being piloted from September in local primary schools, will help children and young people develop the skills to deal with stressful and challenging times and situations.
Our new girls rugby programme, which supports Harlequins wider women and girls strategy and will aim to:
Increase accessibility and participation – providing Year 7 & 8 girls with the opportunity to play rugby within PE lessons, after school clubs, and festivals.
Inspire and Excel – using our coaches to nurture and develop girls progression within the game.
Develop and Sustain – by educating staff, supporting schools, and providing an onward pathway.
