LSEG awarded for inspirational commitment to developing female talent

At the 2016 Women of the Future Awards, held on Wednesday 16 November at London’s Hilton on Park Lane, LSEG was the proud winner of the ‘Corporate Award’.

The Women of the Future Awards are the platform for successful young women in Britain. Founded by Pinky Lilani CBE DL and now in their eleventh year, they continue to unearth and recognise the inspirational stars of tomorrow across diverse sectors; providing a platform for female business talent under 35 and building an informal community of influential women in the UK.

Inspiring women and driving social change

The ‘Women of the Future: Corporate Award’ recognises the organisation in the UK that is doing the most to support and nurture young women in business, realise the talents of the younger women within their workforce, and drive positive social change that will enable younger women to prosper. The judging panel recognised LSEG’s outstanding global work in this area – with our global Women Inspired Network, our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and our pledge to build a balanced and fair industry through HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter constituting just a few examples.

Xavier Rolet, CEO, LSEG, accepted the award on the Group’s behalf. Expressing his delight at seeing it so honoured, Xavier noted that LSEG has hosted market open ceremonies with initiatives such as 100 Women in Hedge Funds, Women in ETFs and the 30% Club. He also pointed to the Group’s work with a girls’ school in London and sponsorship of a UNICEF programme creating brighter futures for more than 11,000 young women in Zambia.

Corentine Poilvet-Clediere, Head of Regulatory Strategy and Post Trade Policy, LSEG was also short-listed for the Business Award, which celebrates a younger woman thriving in corporate Britain.

“For Britain’s economy and society to prosper,” said Xavier, “the talents of young women need to be fully realised. It is fantastic that all the organisations and individuals present this evening, as well as all of the projects and initiatives linked to Women of the Future, are helping to make this a reality.”
