Capita Asset Services

When we heard about the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain project, we were immediately keen to get involved. A huge part of our business focuses on helping medium-sized companies grow, by working with them to overcome the challenges that they face. We also provide these businesses with the support they need when reaching key milestones in their lifecycle.

As a Capita division, we are well established and form part of a FTSE 100 organisation. However, in both mindset and delivery, we retain our entrepreneurialism – Capita has grown significantly in a relatively short space of time, largely by acquiring small, fast-moving specialists to help us respond to changing markets and client needs. We are familiar with the challenges that rapidly growing companies face, because we have been there ourselves and we’ve supported businesses in overcoming these hurdles.

Service is extremely important to the success of any business and it’s often the key differentiator for smaller companies. As your business changes, you often need the help of external suppliers; that means taking a leap of faith, as you’re putting yourself in a stranger’s hands. At Capita, we provide outsourced services and our success is entirely dependent on giving the companies we work for the peace of mind that we take as much pride in our work as they do in theirs.

Growth necessitates new business functions across all disciplines, increased regulatory, compliance and reporting requirements, and greater scrutiny of directors. At some point many businesses will consider an IPO, a merger or an acquisition to continue their growth. Or they may simply need support from specialists in order to meet regulatory standards, whether legal or financial.

By being part of this project, we hope to get closer to some of the great businesses that will make the UK economy healthy again. We are looking forward to meeting the visionary leaders of these companies and offering them whatever support they require.

Helping hand

Capita Asset Services assists companies with everything from administration and financial management to preparing for a stock market listing

Capita Asset Services provides support where needed to manage your organisation. Our end-to-end offering covers back- and front-office functions, from administration to strategic financial management.

One of the most exciting areas of our work is before, during and post-IPO, especially as the market is picking up. We are ideally placed to start working with a company in the early stages as they start to consider an IPO. At that point, our corporate finance and accountancy team is able to assist with business plans, management presentations and investment memoranda, or even project manage the transaction and the reporting accounts.

4,000+ – The number of multinational and UK-based clients that Capita Asset Services has relationships with

We continue to provide support throughout the process, bringing in expertise from different areas, as our in-house teams can execute efficient internal hand-offs between them, reducing risk and project management overheads.

The breadth we provide is hard to match, and many companies take advantage of the convenience and cost savings associated with using one supplier for a number of services. In particular, this can be seen with our employee benefits portfolio, which includes onshore and offshore share plan administration, employee share dealing, share option valuation, payroll services, and death and employee benefits trusts.

Our experience is that flexibility is a key requirement for our clients. Every service we offer is designed to work on a project-by-project basis or with ongoing full- or part-time support. In addition, businesses are increasingly operating on a global basis, and our extensive network provides them with excellent coverage. For more information, please visit

Allocate Software

Capita administers Allocate Software’s share register and employee share plans, and provides company secretarial services. We enjoy working with Allocate on this basis; the teams involved benefit from working closely together and it enables them to provide a cohesive, efficient service. Allocate Software is ambitious and focused, and its vision is to be the leading supplier of workforce optimisation and corporate governance solutions. The company’s clients are worldwide organisations with large multi-skilled workforces, creating a level of complexity that requires scale and reliability from their suppliers.

It is also relatively unusual for a market-leading share registrar to have in-house investor relations analysts and proxy solicitation services. The team has specific market and sector experience, and can help you identify your shareholders and bondholders, run proxy solicitation campaigns and target investors.
