• Asia - Pacific & Australia

Asia Pacific is an important geography for the London Stock Exchange, as London is uniquely positioned as a gateway to Europe for Asian companies.

There is a large and developed peer group of Asian companies on our markets who have benefited from access to a broad and established global investor base in London. To date, there have been over 100 IPOs from Asia Pacific, collectively raising more than 11 billion dollars. Companies from the region have also been very active after IPO, raising a total of 66 billion dollars in further issues.

Led by Korea’s Samsung, which has registered over $18 billion in depository receipt trading on the International Order Book (IOB) platform in the last five years, Asian companies have also been a highly visible part of the London Stock Exchange’s secondary markets.

But it is not just the larger Asian companies on the Main Market who have enjoyed the advantages of London’s internationally oriented capital markets. Some of our success stories over the last 12 months have been on AIM and include Southeast Asia focused All Asia Asset Capital who raised an initial £3.6m, Chinese outdoor clothing manufacturer Camkids Group plc who rasied £6.5m as well as Shenzhen headquartered Kada Technology Holdings who raised £1.3m.
